Who I work with:

I can work directly with parents, carers & young people as well educational settings including schools, nurseries & post-16 settings. I also work with academy trusts, as well as other psychologists, assistant psychologists & trainee psychologists.

I have experience as a maingrade and senior psychologist as well as independent with families and schools more recently alongside locum work for local authorities.

 

All work is evidence-based and tailored to meet individual needs.

Assessment

I provide comprehensive psychological assessments to explore cognitive, learning, emotional, and social needs.

Using a full cognitive assessment toolkit, dynamic assessment methods, attention assessments, and standardised questionnaires, I identify strengths and barriers to learning. Clients include children and young people (0-25 years), parents, schools, and local authorities seeking detailed understanding and recommendations for support.

Whole School Change & Systemic Improvement

I support schools in developing and implementing systemic change projects, working with senior leaders to improve school-wide practices.

This includes developing inclusive approaches, supporting staff wellbeing initiatives, and embedding psychological principles into school policies and practice.

Intervention Delivery

I deliver tailored psychological interventions for individuals and small groups, using various approaches.

Approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, emotional literacy and regulation programmes, and study skills coaching for secondary-aged students. These interventions support children and young people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulties with emotional regulation, and academic challenges.

Consultation

Consultation offers a collaborative, problem-solving approach to address learning, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

I work with families, school staff, and other professionals using frameworks such as solution-focused approaches to generate practical strategies that meet the unique needs of children and young people.

Supervision

I provide professional supervision for trainee and qualified Educational Psychologists

I also support school staff such as ELSAs and senior leadership teams. My supervision approach promotes reflective practice, professional development, and psychological wellbeing in education settings.

Other services:

Additional support include, but are not limited to:

Critical Incident Planning – helping schools prepare for and manage crises.

Multi-Agency Working – collaborating with professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and CAMHS.

EHCP Process Support – Providing psychological assessments, reports, and expert input to support Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and EHCP reviews.

Transition Planning & Support – Helping children and young people with key transitions (e.g., primary to secondary, secondary to further education, or specialist to mainstream) through targeted intervention and planning.

Psychological Research & Evaluation – Conducting research and impact assessments to evaluate interventions, school initiatives, and inclusion strategies.

Therapeutic and Coaching Work – Providing 1:1 or small group interventions to support emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem, and mental health using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, solution-focused coaching, ACT).

Early Years & SEND Support – Supporting nurseries and early years providers with early identification of additional needs, staff training, and inclusive strategies for neurodivergent learners.
